MKettle Ghillie Kettle

Fantastic bit of kit. Basically the MKettle is a canteen sized Ghillie Kettle. Burns any fuel like paper, wood, leaves, bark, pinecones, grasses, fat wood , wax soaked rags/wood/sawdust/paper etc. You can also burn Methyl Hydrate alcohol in it.

Boils water rapidly. Fits in a canteen pouch. Can be used to carry water as it comes with a silicone stopper.

Literally my most used bit of kit. I have two - one I burn anything in it, and the other is strictly for burning Methyl Hydrate alcohol - no smoke, no smell, no noise, suitable for stealth camping / camp fire bans.

OV INNOVATIONS "Teeter pouch"

Got four of these ultralight (1.24 Oz ) TEETER water bottle pouches in Multicam coming from OV INNOVATIONS  .

Adjustable to fit pretty much any bottle, these pouches take up less Molle columns than regular Molle pouches do, plus the weight savings is incredible.

Looking forward to the postal person dropping these off in the next few weeks. Will post an updated post with more pictures, including mounted on my load bearing webbing rig.

"Bone Tomahawk" war clubs

Working a set of moose jawbone war clubs.

One of the most brutal killing scenes using a jawbone tomahawk was from the movie "Bone Tomahawk", where the savages literally split a man in half (and later ate him).

Breakfast

Breakfast this morning, local Fraser Valley BC organic eggs, and imported tinned spicy sardines. A powerhouse of nutrients, vitamins and flavour.

Time for coffee

Simple gunstock war club strap. Time to oil it with leather dressing. Very comfortable to carry the club now while hiking.

Picked up a couple of natural colour leather straps and thong cord from the always awesome Crew at Lonsdale Leather  . These will be integrated into my war clubs as shoulder straps  .

Pemberton Grizzlies - not a hockey team....

Up in Pemberton BC mountains.....(last year late summer) Full on grizzly country. Made lots of noise hiking, and carried magnum cans of bear spray. Never did see one up there, but founds lots of bear scat and tree scratches. Only critter was a wee little field mouse, looked like a mini kangaroo rat.

Woods Time

Quick day hike to a local forest. Extremely cold, and high winds made bush walking dangerous due to the falling dead tree limbs. One old tree cracked but did not fall over.....yet.

Brewed up some hot chocolate, by boiling water in the Ghillie Kettle MKettle - rapid boiling.

Nice hot fat wood fire, loads of smoke capturing the suns rays.

Puttered about the area, scoping out materials for a lean to build.

Finally near mid afternoon, I doused the fire, packed up my gear and headed out.
